In case the pump ceases to function, inspect for any obstructions caused by food particles or pet fur. It is advisable to either replace the small sponge or clean the pump. Performing regular maintenance on the pump every one to two weeks can help prolong its lifespan. To clean the pump, follow these steps: 1. Take out the small sponge. 2. Remove the cover of the pump. 3. Lift the small tab to detach the impeller cover. 4. Use your fingernail to extract the impeller. 5. Rinse the parts with water and put everything back together.
